Schoen Clinic wins prestigious award.

Healthcare Business International award received for quality measurement.

Measuring, evaluating and continuous improvement is the essence of Schoen Clinic's approach to quality management, which has been recognised by Healthcare Business International (HBI) in their Business Model Innovation Awards. Around 70 companies in the health care sector were in the running for the awards granted by the English health care intelligence platform.  In the “best quality data model” category, Schön Klinik prevailed over peers such as the University of Utah, taking first place in the category.

“We are convinced that medical excellence is the result of specialisation and experience,” says Raymar Homm, who is in charge of quality management at Schoen Clinic. “This is because experience can be used for continuous development and improvement provided that this experience is systematically collected, evaluated and discussed among experts. For this reason, a comprehensive quality measurement system is embedded in all our hospitals for many years.”

“Quality empowered by documentation” is the name of the four-step process comprising the definition of indicators, collection of data, evaluation of the results and the implementation of improvements.

The award was presented at the Healthcare Business International Conference, attended by more than 600 healthcare organisations, collectively sharing details of the latest developments in and approaches to patient care.
