Volmer

Manfred Volmer has been the Managing director of the Schön Klinik Neustadt since January 2002. . Born in Münsterland 1966, he completed his national service after his final secondary-school examinations, studied business management at the Westfälischen Wilhelms Universität in Münster and went on to the Federal Miners' Insurance in Bochum, a company for medical and long term care insurance and pensions, which additionally runs many acute care hospitals and rehabilitation clinics. Manfred Volmer came to Schön Kliniken in 1998 as head of central controlling at the Schön Kliniken headquarters and built up the controlling system for all the Schön Kliniken. In July 1999 the registered tradesman, who is married and the father of twins, moved to the Schön Klinik Neustadt and became the Deputy Managing director and in January 2002 took over the position of Managing director of the clinic.

Prof. Dr. Pavel Dufek

Prof. Dr. habil. Pavel Dufek has been Medical Director of the Schön Klinik Neustadt since 1997. He is a specialist in orthopaedics, orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. Professor Dufek studied medicine at the Masaryk Universität in Brno (Czech Republic). From 1984-85 he was a scholarship holder of the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung at the medical Universität in Lübeck where he was subsequently the Registrar and then the Speciality Registrar at the Clinic for Orthopaedics. Professor Dufek completed has doctorate in 1992 with the paper - "Incorporation of bone in metallic implants with spongy structures and surfaces".
