Spinal Surgery Centre. Our specialisations
The total spectrum of conservative and operative treatments of the spine.
Our physicians and therapists offer you individual treatment for your spine.
Acute and chronic illnesses of the spine are effectively treatable either with orthopaedic pain therapy or spinal surgery. With chronic spinal pain we often effectively apply a multimodal pain therapy. After acute treatment, rehabilitation is carried out by the same treatment team to ensure the success of the therapy.
Specialisation orthopaedic pain therapy.
In back pain caused by slipped discs, vertebral joint arthrosis, vertebral canal constriction or deviation of the spine form, so-called semi-invasive spine-infiltration techniques lead to quick alleviation of pain. In about 90% of treatment cases, operations can be avoided. Instead, the therapy is supported with intensive physical therapy and physical measures. In orthopaedic pain therapy we treat among others:
-
Acute back pain:
-
Chronic back pain
-
Spinal disc herniation (Slipped disc)
-
Lumboischialgia (Lumbar portion of the spine-leg-pain)
-
Spinal canal stenosis (Vertebral canal constriction)
Focal point of spine surgery.
When conservative therapy is no longer sufficient, an operation is necessary. The spectrum goes from minimally invasive intervertebral disc operations with micro-surgery operations for narrow vertebral canals to stabilisation operations of the spine with static and dynamic systems. The new intervertebral disc implants nowadays open up similar perspectives as did the introduction of artificial joints decades ago. Kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty are used for therapy for vertebral fractures caused by osteoporosis. General treatment at the Spine Centre by specialists in spinal surgery and experts for pain therapy guarantee optimum results. These clinical pictures are treated by us at the Spinal Surgery Centre:
-
Spinal disc herniation (Slipped disc)
-
Spinal canal stenosis (Vertebral canal constriction)
-
Spondylolisthesis (spine slippage)
-
Fracture of the spine caused by osteoporosis
-
Scoliosis (Lateral curvature of the spine)
Specialisation in inpatient multimodal pain therapy.
With long-term chronic complaints, the pain develops momentum - we are then speaking of back pain. When a lot of conservative and operative treatment measures have already failed, then a multimodal pain therapy is often helpful. The therapy concept is supported by bio-psychosocial treatment of pain disorders. These psychosocial factors are included alongside the treatment of underlying orthopaedic complaints. The medical world is today agreed on the influence of these on the development and sustainability of chronic pains. These clinical pictures, among others, are treated by us with multimodal pain therapy:
-
Chronic back pain
-
Chronic Lumbago (pain in lumbar portion of the spine)
-
Chronic Cervicobrachialgia (Cervical spine-arm-pain)
-
Chronic Cervicobrachialgia (Cervical spine-headache)
-
Pain perception disorders
