Pain Center. Our specialisation

Treatment of rheumatism, osteoporosis and further treatment after surgery.

The movement of joints is severely hindered in rheumatism.

The movement of joints is severely hindered in rheumatism.

The acceptance of patients for post-operative treatment as inpatients and those with severe courses of illness belong just as much to the spectrum as diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic injuries and osteoporosis.

Speciality: Rheumatology.

Severe deformation of the joints in rheumatic patients can often be limited as a result of an early diagnosis and timely treatment. There are internal medicine specialists and rheumatologists at your service in the Schön Klinik Harthausen. The interdisciplinary team of doctors has an unusually wide horizon of experience with the treatment of rheumatic illnesses at its disposal. The close collaboration with relevant initiative groups such as the German Rheumatism League (Deutschen Rheuma-Liga) and the Ankylosing Spondylitis Self-help Group pays off for our patients.

Specialisation in osteoporosis.

In osteoporosis, that incidentally does not only affect women, the bone mass looses its solidity. Breakages can occur gradually and painlessly at the beginning and often go unrecognised. In advanced states, severe pain and continuous disability are often a result. Here, Schön Klinik Harthausen offers a comprehensive treatment concept: A customised pain therapy, individually prescribed pharmaceuticals, advice on diet, specialist physiotherapy, physical therapy and in cases when required, also minimally invasive spinal surgery intervention, such as kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty, that is carried out by our spinal surgeons.

Specialisation in post-operative treatment ward.

We offer admissions into our post-operative treatment ward for patients from other acute clinics. When multiple and complicated operations are necessary, we offer our post-operative treatment ward to our partner clinics, even when there is no possibility for general rehabilitation. With the combination of our acute clinic and rehabilitation clinic we can start the intensive mobilisation and rehabilitation measures so early that it brings about the healing process quicker even after the most complicated and protracted procedures. In many cases, a post-hospital curative treatment as a classical rehabilitation measure can be given in conjunction with this acute clinic early-rehabilitation therapy by the same treatment team.
