Rehabilitation. Our specialisations
Restoration of viability by orthopedic rehabilitation.
Our movement therapists in rehabilitation will make you fit for everyday life
Rehabilitation can make you fit again for everyday life following orthopaedic, spinal surgery, trauma surgery, vascular surgery operations and after inpatient pain therapy. The chances of a successful course of treatment are best when the correct rehabilitation measures are connected with your hospital stay. What we want to achieve together with you: the functions and abilities lost due to illness, and your physical and mental abilities have to be reestablished as quickly as possible.
Multimodal pain therapy in rehabilitation.
Chronic back pain disorders, but also pain disorders of the peripheral joints and extremities as well as disorders of the autonomic nervous system (eg, sympathetic reflex dystrophy, CRPS, algodystrophy) require a special pain therapy approach. The pain has often gained its own momentum and is no longer solely to be assigned to the disturbance related to the organ. In such cases, people speak of a pain disorder and a disorder of pain perception and pain processing. A purely organ-oriented therapy is no longer sufficient. The treatment concept is based on the bio-psycho-social understanding of chronic pain. Here too, the rehabilitative follow-up treatment of patients who have already been admitted to acute inpatient therapy in our hospital has proved to be particularly effective. The close cooperation with the German Pension Scheme, Bavaria South (Deutschen Rentenversicherung Bayern Süd) in the field of multimodal pain therapy makes it possible for patients who have already undergone many unsuccessful attempts at therapy to finally experience a relief of their chronic suffering of pain.
Rehabilitation for inflammatory rheumatic joint diseases and after rheumatism surgery intervention.
Inflamed joint illnesses such as, for example, chronic polyarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis can lead to significant disturbances to the functionality of the joint. In our clinic, we have united the specialist qualification in orthopaedics and internal-rheumatology. Intensive rehabilitation measures are necessary both after rheumatism surgery operations and after conservative therapy. Our special and comprehensive treatment concepts are based on our many years of experience in rheumatology.
Rehabilitation for diseases of the blood vessels.
Particularly in industrialised countries, vascular diseases are a very common ailment. A rehabilitation tailored specifically to individual circumstances allows patients to live an independent and autonomous life in most cases. After a vascular operation, the individual follow-up treatment aids recovery. In peripheral arterial disease (PAD), after vascular surgery operations, with problematic healing or wounds or vascular thrombosis and embolism, vascular surgery rehabilitation is helpful to restore full functionality and prepare for reintegration into normal life. After vascular surgery operations, such as, for example, after bypass surgery or after surgical removal of calcium deposits in the arteries, rehabilitation measures are useful because the patients have usually been suffering from a significant disruption of the motor function and limitations to walking for a long time. In other cases, a vascular operation was performed in order to heal badly healed wounds. In these cases, an additional target of rehabilitation is to continue wound treatment effectively. If an amputation of limbs is necessary, then this requires intensive rehabilitation measures in matching the prosthesis and prosthesis training. What is particularly meaningful for our vascular surgery rehabilitation is the fact that we we can admit patients from vascular surgery clinics, even at the stage of hospital treatment. If there is not sufficient wound healing and a general rehabilitation is not possible, we perform intensive exercise measures in the spirit of an "Early Rehabilitation". We carry out acute hospital therapy supported by vascular surgery rehabilitation.
Outpatient or partial inpatient rehabilitation.
We perform outpatient or partial inpatient rehabilitation measures, especially after sports orthopaedic surgery and arthroscopic joint surgery . When sufficient mobility is ensured, eligible patients, such as those after cruciate ligament surgery or rotator cuff reconstruction of the shoulder, come to our inpatient or partial outpatient rehabilitation. The treatment is spread throughout the day with intermittent breaks and the possibility of having lunch. The patients spend the night at home. IRENA activities (intensive rehabilitation aftercare measures) after prior inpatient rehabilitation are also offered by the clinic.
Inpatient medical treatment/cures.
The inpatient treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system are used to prevent and treat orthopaedic and rheumatologic disorders. The long-term efficiency and resilience in the social environment and the workplace have to be maintained. Alongside the typical indications of orthopaedic and rheumatologic disorders, our clinic is approved to carry out inpatient treatment for urological and gynaecological disorders.
