Since the hospital was founded in 1985, the Schön Klinik Vogtareuth has devoted itself to acute and rehabilitation medicine in Bavaria. The objective is "holistic care under one roof". The hospital specialises in diagnostics, operative and conservative therapy as well as inpatient, semi-hospitalised and outpatient rehabilitation and aftercare. In the surgical treatment of adults, the hospital has achieved national recognition which, in terms of treating neurologically sick children, even reaches an international level. The Schön Klinik Vogtareuth has more than 376 beds and treats roughly 12,000 inpatients and 16,000 outpatients every year.
