A useful aid. Packing checklist

Please do not forget when packing your suitcase!

With this checklist we would like to help you to pack your personal items you will need during your stay with us.

For daily use:

Sufficient pairs of socks, underwear and nightclothes, training & tracksuit for private use, personal toiletries, tools and appliances (e.g. electric toothbrush, razor, glasses, hearing aid, prosthesis, walking stick, alarm clock, radio alarm clock, etc.); handtowels are provided by us. The hospital naturally has a laundry and drying room and a laundry service (for a charge). Do not forget an adapter for power supply to connect your devices (laptop, cell phone etc.) to Central European power outlets.

For your therapy:

Training shoes for outdoor activities (e.g. running), in-door training shoes, tracksuit, gym shorts/trousers, comfortable T-shirts and outer clothing, swimwear, bathrobe/ dressing gown, bath towel, bathing shoes. Patients who use inhalation aids and a peak-flow meter at home should bring them with them; also blood sugar measuring devices and an adequate quantity of measuring strips, if you need them.

For your medical care:

Please bring your medicines with you (including medicines not directly related to the illness to be treated by us), with a sufficient quantity to last for your stay. In your own interest, please remember to bring medical findings, reports and X-rays (lung, joints) of the last two years in order, e.g. to spare you further X-rays.

Other notes and instructions:

Please do not bring ANY jewellery and/or valuables with you. Please do NOT bring a television set with you – we provide one free of charge in your room.

In-house services and offers (some for a charge):

Cafeteria with kiosk, laundry room (washing machine, dryer and iron), laundry service, sun terrace, indoor swimming pool (doctor's permit required), internet café and WLAN in room, hairdresser, chiropody.

Your arrival and departure:

As there is only a limited number of parking spaces in the clinic's underground car park and a long journey by car is often very demanding, we ask you not to come to us in your own car. There are NO facilities within the clinic grounds for camping vehicles or similar. We advise you to travel by public transport, e.g. by rail to Berchtesgaden, then take a bus or taxi to the clinic in Schönau am Königssee (you can of course be collected free of charge by our minibus by prior arrangement). We will also be pleased to organise your transfer from Salzburg airport (additional charge of 39 Euro). Please note that on your day of departure you must vacate your room by 10.00 at the latest to enable it to be cleaned.

We hope you have a good journey and look forward to welcoming you in our hospital soon!
