Commercial Manager
Dr. med. Markus Stoffel is the Commercial Manager of the Schön Klinik Starnberger See. He is a specialist in internal medicine and nephrology and has been working for more than 12 years at two university clinics. Dr Stoffel completed his degree in Human Medicine at the University of Düsseldorf with residencies abroad in USA, Canada and France. He also studied Health Economics at the European Business School (ebs) in Oestrich Winkel. Before he changed over to the Schön Klinik in 2006, he was Project Manager for several years of a quality management system in the outpatient dialysis area. Dr Markus Stoffel initially worked for the Schön Klinik group as Manager of Medical Controlling in the head offices in Prien am Chiemsee
Medical Director
Prof. Dr. med. Dirk J. Beuckelmann
Prof. Dr. med. Dirk J. Beuckelmann has been a Consultant and Medical Director of the Schön Klinik Starnberger See since November 2002. After completing his degree in Human Medicine at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main he was a research assistant at Medical Clinic I of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, the Großhadern Clinical Centre and Baltimore/USA University Hospital from 1983 to 1993. From 1993 to November 2002 he worked as Speciality Registrar at Clinic III for Internal Medicine at the University of Cologne (Director: Prof. Dr. Erdmann ) where he held the post of Deputy Director of the clinic from 1998 onwards. In 1997 he was appointed supernumerary professor. Prof. Beuckelmann is author of numerous research papers in scientific journals and over 50 articles in books. In 1992 Prof. Beuckelmann was awarded the Ludwig Heilmeyer Medal for special services to Internal Medicine. In 2000 he received the Fraenkel Prize for Research of the German Society for Cardiology. Professor Beuckelmann is fully accredited to lead residency training programmes in Internal Medicine (6 years).
Nursing Services Manager
Christiane Weber was appointed Nursing Services Manager at the Schön Klinik Starnberger See in August 2008. After the successful completion of the nursing exams at Husumer Kreiskrankenhaus, she gained experience as a nurse and nurse manager in several clinics before she changed to the cardiac intensive care unit at the Klinikum München-Großhadern. Here she acquired the Specialist Nurses Training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine and worked as a permanent representative for the ward manager. In 2005, Mrs Weber moved to the Schön Klinik Starnberger See - first as a ward manager in intensive care and since 2007, also as the Deputy Nursing Services Manager. As part of her tasks, she was instrumental in the expansion of the existing Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She is also involved over and beyond this in various ways for the Schön Klinik Starnberger See. For example, she is active in the areas of quality, risk and lean management.
