Fast help for cardiac infarction patients.

Ready to serve you 24 hours a day

Ready to serve you 24 hours a day

Patients who have been diagnosed with cardiac infarction are treated in a separate emergency and intensive care unit. In order to be able to start the necessary life-saving procedures, our clinic has a cardiac catheter laboratory available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Occluded coronary arteries can be opened mechanically with the aid of a balloon. With the help of a cardiac catheter and following re-opening of the artery/vessel, a stent implant (vessel support) can be performed, which expands the closed vessel keeping it open to allow normalisation of the blood flow

Precise diagnostics.

In addition to the highly modern cardiac catheter laboratory, nuclear cardiology offers significant possibilities for detecting and treating heart diseases e.g. coronary heart disease, diseases of the heart muscles and valves. Procedures such as computed tomographic angiography or nuclear spin tomography of the heart (Cardiac MR) provide exact diagnoses. Highly specialised three-dimensional ultrasound examinations allow precise determination of vascular diseases.

Timely prevention by means of early detection of calcium deposits.

The sooner the calcium deposits are detected in the arteries of the heart, the better consequential illnesses can be prevented. Therefore we carry out a rapid and ECG-triggered multi-slice computed tomography of the heart on our patients. The extent of calcification is expressed as a number, the "calcium score". This has far-reaching consequences for timely prevention of arteriosclerosis. Check-up examinations give an idea about any possible progression of calcification or the success of treatment.
