Internistic Intensive Care Medicine. Treatment concepts

Emergency care and permanent monitoring.

Patients with life-threatening illnesses need help quickly. You are cared for 24 hours a day by an experienced team on the modern Intensive Care Unit of the Schön Klinik Starnberger See. To get to an emergency as quickly as possible, an emergency doctor's car is stationed at the clinic. Clinic doctors with additional training in "emergency medical services" provide emergency services.

Facilities in our Intensive Care Unit.

The Intensive Care Unit has more than seven beds and single and double rooms. The smaller units are generally used if a patient has survived the acute phase of their illness and is still being monitored but transfer to the general ward is pending. A special sluice room for infection control is also attached to the Intensive Care Unit.

Referral to the Intensive Care Unit.

The referral to our Intensive Care Unit is made by

  • General Practitoners
  • the medical emergency services
  •  the Emergency Services headquarters
  •  the emergency doctor
